solo heads to hill
ed Roo star, Solomon ‘Solo’ Kuol, has headed to Hill College in Hillsboro, Tx, to accept his scholarship offer. The 6’7” wing was a hot item on April’s AAU’s Australia Elite USA College tour gathering serious interest from D1 programs. With his length, shooting range and defensive capabilities, he made himself irresistible to the Texas Juco.
“Solo had a great experience on AAU’s tour,” noted AAU CEO and Tour Organiser, Brett Stringer. “Guys like him don’t grow on trees, so it’s no wonder he made his mark. We’re really pleased for him to have this experience.” Hill College Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Swede Trenkle, is full of faith that Solomon will continue his progress with the Rebels uniform on for the 22/23 season. “We’re very excited about Solomon’s arrival. He impressed us on the film we saw and we think he has a role to play here. I expect him to apply himself to his schooling, and his basketball, and then I know we have the system that will give him even more opportunities.”
Having helped over 60 student-athletes in the basketball program over the last 15 years move from the Juco to NCAA 4 year schools means eyes will be on Solo over the next two season. “For a young man who is full of belief, Hill is a great place for Solo and his future education and basketball career,” enthused Red Roo Sports President, James Kerr.
