Michael Jok

Settling in to life in D2 after transferring from JUCO is exactly the challenging experience Michael Jok anticipated.Any notion that his on-court success, exposure to leadership, or scholarship offer would create a soft landing were blown out playing limited minutes in the first games of the new season. “It’s definitely tough to go from top performer to being at the bottom of the pile again,” said Jok. “I worked hard at Dawson to establish myself and that resulted in me receiving the Minot State scholarship. But that’s just the beginning.

Yuot gai

Red Roo’s Yout Gai (YG) continues to make progress as he enters his Senior year at Abilene Christian University. The South Plains College transfer has seen a increase in his avg minutes and continues to grind and work to win more court time and opportunity.
“Nothing is guaranteed anyone, at any level in life, other than the opportunity to excel, and that is what YG has at Abilene Christian,”remarked James Kerr, President of Red Roo Sport. “YG has, through his work, earned the respect of his teammates, the coaching staff, and everyone else connected to the program and the school. There is no greater achievement”, continues Mr. Kerr.

Daniel Piech-Meat

Heading to Midland College in West Texas, Daniel cites his faith and family as major influencers in his achievement. “They kept believing in me”, explains the Freshman of his large family. “Because of COVID I kind of gave up a little bit. I wasn’t playing basketball. But I kept my family around, kept going to church, kept praying. This helped me a lot. My mum, dad, brothers and sisters. All of them.”
